The Wilde Blu Project is still looking for young and aspiring pool players who could be the country’s next pool masters.

Wild Blu Project was founded in February 2019 by Leslie “the AnitoKid of Billiards” Mapugay and Nino Lopez as a philanthropic program that advocates the proper development of young billiard players who have the potential of not only achieving the greatness of Efren “Bata” Reyes but also finishing their formal education in learning institutions.
It is a non-profit, grassroots organization made up of volunteers that focuses primarily on cue sports and young pocket billiard players aged 10 to 17 from low-income families.
Sponsors, volunteer supporters, and mentors willing to provide guidance and assistance to selected and talented junior players manage the team. It is a selfless and dedicated program aimed at assisting junior billiard players in developing their talent and skills at the pool table.
Since its inception, the program has already produced players who have the potential to be the sport’s future stars.
Among them are rising star junior player Bernie ‘Benok’ Regalario, who has already signed a professional player sponsorship with Peri Cues in November of 2020, and young player Kayla C. Herrera, who has made a name for herself by winning in various tournaments such as the women’s division in the 1st Miguel Padilla Memorial 8-Ball Tournament in August of 2019, the girl’s division in the September 2019 District Meet in 8-ball and 9-ball, and the girl’s
Aside from sporting achievements, the program has also assisted its players in completing their studies, with junior players Dexter M. Barnido and NJ Asugue Perez being the first batch from the Wilde Blu Junior Team to graduate high school.

Sponsors and mentors assist and help junior players develop their talent and skills. In exchange, the junior players must stay out of trouble, honor and respect their parents, attend school, and maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent.
